Overview: The Accounting Staff will be responsible for supporting the finance team by managing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and maintaining compliance with company policies and regulations. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to support the company’s financial stability and growth.
BIR Compliance and Tax Filings
- Prepare and file BIR reports, including VAT, withholding tax, and other required forms.
- Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and deadlines.
- Assist in responding to tax audits and inquiries from government agencies.
Bookkeeping and General Accounting
- Maintain and update the company’s general ledger and financial records.
- Record, process, reconcile daily financial transactions, and categorize all financial transactions in accounting software
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in the company’s accounting systems.
- Prepare journal entries, ledger updates, and adjustments as needed.
Accounts Receivable
- Process customer invoices, payments, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor and manage outstanding balances to ensure timely collections.
- Reconcile customer accounts and address any discrepancies or issues.
- Reconcile monthly bank statements.
Accounts Payable
- Verify and process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Maintain accurate records of all payables, including purchase orders and receipts.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Generate reports on cash flow, revenue, expenses, and other financial metrics.
- Support the finance team during internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
Support to Finance Manager
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Finance Manager daily tasks.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and other reports as requested.
- Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve financial queries and provide support as needed.
- Assist in the development and improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles, preferably in the retail or furniture industry.
- Experience in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Willing to learn the process of Odoo Accounting System
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
- Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to work onsite in Makati City.
- Salary Range: PHP 30,000 - PHP 35,000
